Artistic Statement

As an artist, I believe the passion and heart of performance and choreography is what drives me to create and bring to life my inner thoughts. With my choreography, I hope to show diverse work that will be original and new to an audience. I want to inspire audiences to embrace different styles of dance through my choreography and performance. Hopefully with this work audiences will enjoy unique, fun, and meaningful work that shows who I am as not only a dancer but a person.

 

Teaching Statement

As a teacher, I strive to share my love for dance and technique with my students. I work to show my students that technique is the basis for everything and that with hard work they will grow and become the dancers they want to be. Teaching allows me to be a good role model for my students and show them not only how to act as a dancer but as a person. I want to encourage them to find enjoyment in this art form and to use it as a creative vessel to grow as an individual.
